Thomas Homer-Dixon is the author of 'The Upside of Down: catastrophe, creativity and the renewal of civilisation'. He is Director of the Trudeau Centre for Peace and Conflict Studies and Professor of Political Science at the University of Toronto, and is one of the world’s leading authorities on environmental security and social adaptation to complex stress.
